Janice was Chandler Bing's ex-girlfriend in the show, famous for her nasal voice, her very loud (and very annoying laugh) and the catchphrase: "OH. MY. GAWD."
The fact she was no shrinking violet made her exaggerated New York mannerisms even more clear, meaning viewers were left under no illusions as to why Chandler's balls would famously 'jump back inside' his body at the mere sound of her voice.
However, Janice herself seemed oblivious to everyone's irritation whenever she laughed - arguably the most haunting sound EVER - which somehow rendered her impervious to her ex's unguarded revulsion.
A couple of years ago, a Twitter user tweeted a photo of Janice (played by actor Maggie Wheeler) and everyone who saw it immediately cringed.
The photo soon went viral, having received more than 82,000 retweets and 163,000 likes on Twitter.
Fans of the show began connecting over the photo, and one thing they all seem to agree on is the fact that Janice's laugh is unforgettable - even after all these years.
One fan said: "I can hear this picture."
Another tweeted: "I hear her laugh from this picture and it's literally making me squirm. If I had her laugh as my alarm clock, I'd never be late cause I'd jump out of bed, out of her house."
A third added: "I was just idling, staring at the screen and I saw this picture. An annoying laugh akin to Fran Drescher's filled my head. WTF. I barely remember this character! How?"
The eagerly anticipated Friends reunion show will air later this month on 27 May.
The one-off reunion show will see stars Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller) return for the unscripted show which will celebrate the show that ended all the way back in 2004.
The cast will be joined by some famous fans of the show, including David Beckham, Justin Bieber, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon and Christina Pickles - as well as former guest stars such as Reese Witherspoon, Tom Selleck and Elliot Gould.
While the reunion faced delays due to the pandemic, Aniston said it meant the show will be 'more fun' given the extra time they had to work on it.
Speaking to Deadline, she said: "It's going to be super. You know what? This has also given us more time to make it even more exciting and more fun than it would have been.
"So, I choose to see it as the glass is half-full that it got postponed.
"Look, we're not going anywhere. You're never going to get rid of Friends, sorry. You're stuck with us for life, guys."
Meanwhile, co-star Courteney Cox said the reunion was 'going to be great'.
Speaking on an episode of Kevin Nealon's web series titled Hiking With Kevin she said: "The exciting thing is that we're all going to get together for the first time, in a room, and actually talk about the show.
"We're going to have the best time."
She added: "It's going to be great. We really haven't all done that and actually sat there and talked about and reminisced about this incredible experience that we had."
