It would appear Carmen Electra's appearance on new Michael Jordan doc The Last Dance has prompted something of a surge in Pornhub searches for the 48-year-old supermodel.

The first two episodes of the documentary were added to Netflix on 19 April, followed up by the next two on 26 April - with the fourth featuring a mention about Electra and her ex-husband, controversial Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman.

Well, her brief interview seems to have had a lasting impression on viewers, with Pornhub announcing there has been an enormous demand for Electra in the past week - the video sharing website told TMZ that there have been more than 1.7 million searches for videos related to her.

To put that into context, the day the show first aired, there were just 14,796 searches - a figure that jumped up drastically the following day, when there were 393,000.

The documentary is being released on Netflix in batches of two episodes, with 10 in total being added to the service over the course of five weeks.

It follows Michael Jordan's rise to the very top of the basketball world, culminating in Chicago Bulls' fight for the 1997/98 NBA championship - an iconic season for both Jordan and the Bulls, who went on to claim their sixth title in eight years.

It includes never-before-seen interviews and locker room footage and explores just what it took for the Bulls' star player and his teammates to win the championship.

After having watched the new series, Jordan admitted that he was worried about what fans would think about his behaviour.

Speaking to The Athletic, the 57-year-old said there were some scenes that didn't sit too well with him.

He told the publication: "When people see this footage I'm not sure they're going to be able to understand why I was so intense, why I did the things I did, why I acted the way I acted, and why I said the things I said."

Jordan continued: "When you see the footage of [me riding with Scott Burrell], you're going to think that I'm a horrible guy. But you have to realise that the reason why I was treating him like that is because I needed him to be tough in the playoffs and we're facing the Indianas and Miamis and New Yorks in the Eastern Conference. He needed to be tough and I needed to know that I could count on him."

The first four episodes of The Last Dance are available on Netflix now, with the rest of the series airing over the course of the next three Mondays.
