A psychological thriller with a huge plot twist ending has dropped on Netflix. Watch the trailer here:
Behind Her Eyes was released on the streaming service today (17 February) and viewers who have already binged their way through all six episodes have been left stunned by a big plot twist (except for the viewers who have already read the novel the series is based on, that is).
Now don't worry, I'm not gonna spoil it for you, I'm just pointing you in the direction of some twisty fun - and who doesn't love a good twist?
If you're wondering what exactly it's all about, here's the synopsis: "Simona Brown plays Louise, a single mother who has an affair with her psychiatrist boss David (Tom Bateman).
"Her life takes a strange turn when she later befriends his wife Adele (Eve Hewson), and she finds herself caught in a web of secrets and lies where nothing is what it seems.
"Also starring Robert Aramayo, Behind Her Eyes is produced by Left Bank Pictures (The Crown) and written by Steve Lightfoot and Angela LaManna, based on the best-selling novel by Sarah Pinborough."
Hewson - who is the daughter of Bono - didn't actually know about the big twist when she first auditioned for the part.
She told Digital Spy: "I had to do my audition in the middle of the night because I was shooting something else, and I only had time to read the first episode.
"So I didn't know what the twist was. And so I had a very different take on the character, and I thought it was a completely different show than it actually is.
"So when I then met with [director] Erik [Richter Strand] on Skype he said 'I know you haven't read the script. I'm going to have to tell you - this is the show, this is the twist'...
"I was shocked. I was genuinely shocked. And kind of excited because it's just so left field, I really didn't see that coming at all."
If your intrigue is now overwhelming, you know where to go to get answers - though you might find that you just end up with even more questions.
Behind Her Eyes is available to stream now on Netflix.
