Rick and Morty fans, you are in luck - it's been officially confirmed that the UK premiere of the fourth series will be shown on E4 at 10pm on Wednesday 20 November.

Director of Programmes at Channel 4 Ian Katz revealed the news on Twitter, saying that thanks to the public outcry that it wouldn't be on screens in the UK until January, they've decided to bring it forward - by quite a lot as well.

He hints to the fact that people weren't best pleased about having to wait until January - and he was right.

As we reported yesterday - people were left fuming when they realised they had such a long wait.

Channel 4 confirmed it would be exclusively airing the latest series of the sci-fi hit, but it seems that's not good enough for some viewers.

Taking to Twitter, one fan ranted: "How is it that one of greatest shows of all time @RickandMorty season 4 is aired tonight in America and yet we in the UK don't officially get it until Jan?!?!!?! Are you m@&£34 f&?(678 kidding me?"

Another added: "Totally not jealous of everyone in the US who get to enjoy Season 4 of Rick and Morty tonight. Meanwhile, us UK fans have to wait until January."

But it looks like the fact that you lot kicked off so much has given Channel 4 the kick up the a*** to realise that January is just not good enough.

Split over two parts consisting of five episodes each, Rick and Morty will air on E4 and episodes will be available to stream on All 4.

The Emmy-winning animated comedy series follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe.

Ian Katz, Director of Programmes for Channel 4, said: "Millions of fans have been waiting for more than two years for a new series of Rick and Morty, the most brilliantly bonkers show on television. We're thrilled that it will be aired exclusively on Channel 4 and I promise it will be worth the wait."

And now - thanks to us, the people, that wait will be just over a week.

Doesn't that just go to show that putting your opinion out there really makes a difference (ahem, register to vote).
