Fans think they have noticed that Ryan Reynolds made an accidental extra cameo in his new film 6 Underground.

The new Netflix action movie, which was directed by Michael Bay, sees the 43-year-old appearing in a scene he was never supposed to be in - because it meant that he was in two places at once... and we know even Hollywood royalty can't pull that off.

Looking back to September 2018, Reynolds posted a video on to Instagram where he was leaning against a wall talking about the upcoming film.

He told his followers: "Best part about shooting with Michael Bay? I don't know. A lot of people would say the action, but for me, it's the stillness. Those quiet moments," then a car flips behind him. Funny guy, eh?

The Reddit page, called MovieDetails, explains that if you pause the film 14 minutes and 42 seconds in, you can spot a man standing against a wall in the background.

The scene looks very similar to the one in the background of Reynolds' Instagram video - with a black car being flipped into the air.

Deadpool writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese have worked on 6 Underground which has been described as 'a high testosterone mission movie'. And with a $150 million (£115m) budget, you know there's going to be a load of next-level action sequences.

Not to mention star power. Alongside Reynolds, you've got Good Omens actress Adria Arjona, Inglourious Basterds star Mélanie Laurent, If Beale Street Could Talk actor Dave Franco, BlacKkKlansman's Corey Hawkins and many, many more.

The film is already a hit with fans on Twitter, with some viewers even calling for a sequel.

If that hasn't geared you up for some high-octane 'Bayhem' then maybe the official synopsis will: "What's the best part of being dead? It isn't escaping your boss, your ex, or even erasing your criminal record.

"The best part about being dead...is the freedom. The freedom to fight the injustice and evil that lurk in our world without anyone or anything to slow you down or tell you 'no'.

"6 Underground introduces a new kind of action hero. Six individuals from all around the globe, each the very best at what they do, have been chosen not only for their skill, but for a unique desire to delete their pasts to change the future.

"The team is brought together by an enigmatic leader (Reynolds), whose sole mission in life is to ensure that, while he and his fellow operatives will never be remembered, their actions damn sure will."
