We were all delighted to see Gavin & Stacey back on our screens for last year's Christmas special, with many fans now begging Ruth Jones and James Corden to make a fourth series after that whopper of a cliffhanger.
But the shock ending isn't the only loose end fans would like to see tied up because, let's be honest, we are all dying to know just what happened during Uncle Bryn (played by Rob Brydon) and Jason's fishing trip.

The mysterious trip was alluded to throughout every series of the show and it seems as though as the creators planned to delve a little bit deeper into the trip for an episode in series two, but then later changed their minds.
Lisa Edwards, who used to live in the house that was used as Bryn's in the show, found a script for an episode that would never air.
Speaking to Wales Online, she said: "We have a script for an episode which was never aired.

"It was supposed to be Uncle Bryn and his nephew watching this VHS.
"They both watch it together to see what happened on the fishing trip. But they decided to not show the episode."
However, even the script didn't reveal what happened during the trip and, since the episode never aired, it looks like we might never know.
Lisa added: "We have the script, but it doesn't say what happened."

Viewers were teased on Christmas Day when Bryn opened up an old photograph and found it was of himself and Jason taken during the trip.
Bryn then announced: "Put down the remote... for the time has come.
"You want to know what happened?"

Well, duh, Bryn.
He stood up and said: "It was very dark, in every sense of the word." While Jason chipped in: "Can I just point out that we knew nothing about camping."
As the tension built, Bryn added: "It was my bad. It was all my bad. You see everyone it was supposed to be... what happened was I..." But before he got to the big reveal, the kids piled in asking to open up their selection boxes and the moment had gone.
Come on Ruth and James, don't leave us in the dark like this...
