If Valentine's Day just isn't your thing (which is fine) but you're still doing diddly squat maybe it's time to start binging Narcos: Mexico.

The Netflix cartel drama show dropped yesterday - is there a better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than ten hours of cartel crimes? We think not.

It's been more than a year since the first season was released where we were introduced to the Guadalajara cartel and traced the origins of the Mexican drug war.

Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) was unifying the traffickers in order to build an empire but in this season we will watch as he is now the Godfather of the first Mexican cartel.

According to Netflix, he struggles to maintain control, grow his empire, and reconcile the betrayals and sacrifices he had to make on his way to becoming El Padrino.

As friction rises between the different 'plazas' of his cartel, Félix's control over the situation slips. Meanwhile, the death of DEA agent Kiki Camarena at the hands of the cartel and corrupt politicians means a hailstorm of retribution is on its way to Mexico.

Happy Valentine's Day, LADs.
