If you're into your Studio Ghibli films, then you'll be pleased to hear that arguably the best of the animation studio's movies is now available to stream on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.

Indeed, if you've never heard of Studio Ghibli and aren't really into your Japanese animated coming-of-age fantasy films, then you still may want to give Spirited Away a go.

Spirited Away Sunday anyone?

The movie is the only ever hand-drawn, non-English-language film to win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature and is also the highest grossing film in Japanese history.

The film follows the story of 10-year-old Chihiro Ogino as she tries to free her family from the spirit world, where her parents are turned into pigs.

Chihiro Ogino must rescue her parents, who have been turned into pigs in the spirit world.

Now, that plot may or may not sound very intriguing to you, but either way, it is tough to argue with a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 97 percent and a Metacritic rating of 96 percent.

Netflix acquired the rights to stream 21 of Studio Ghibli's films in all regions outside the US, Canada and Japan earlier this year. The company has been drip-feeding us them since.

There are now 14 of the films on Netflix, with the last seven due to drop on 1 April.

If you're confident that you don't fancy being spirited away, then Netflix has also released a selection of other new films for your to choose from today, including Shutter Island.

The film - directed by the great Martin Scorsese and starring the also great Leonardo DiCaprio - was first released 10 years ago and went on to become the director's second highest grossing film ever, bettered only by The Wolf of Wall Street.

The movie is based on the 2003 Dennis Lehane novel of the same name and sees our boy Leo playing US Marshal Edward 'Teddy' Daniels, who is tasked with investigating a psychiatric facility on the titular island after a patient goes missing.

I won't spoil the rest of the film for you, but if you enjoy a good twist then it will probably be up your street... or will it?
