WARNING: SPOILERS FOR DEAD TO ME SEASON 1

Netflix has finally released the teaser trailer for Dead to Me Season 2 and you can watch it below:

Yes, the streaming service has let us take a glimpse at what's in store for the second instalment and has even given us a release date of 8 May. This really is Good Friday.

Don't want Season 1 spoilers? Look away now.

The trailer shows that Jen and Judy's relationship seems to be back on track following the finale of Season 1, where Jen threatened to kill Judy if she saw her again. This followed her discovery that it was Judy who ran over and murdered her late husband, Ted.

The newly released trailer picks up from where things left off, showing both women standing over Judy's ex-fiancé's body after Jen shot him.

In the 40-second clip we get a quick recap on last season before a few snippets of the upcoming one which involve Jen (played by Christina Applegate) in a gas mask, and Judy (Linda Cardellini) in the midst of an emotional breakdown.

Responding to the trailer release on Twitter, one fan of the show wrote: "THIS IS A QUARENTINE MIRACLE," oh yes it is.

Another added: "Yes! Was just thinking of this show the other day and wondering if they had made the second season before lock down. Can't wait," while a third commented: "Can't believe my queens are coming back to me in 28 days!!! missed them so much #deadtome".

When writer Liz Feldman confirmed that it would be returning for a second season, she told Thrillist: "I always wanted to work in multi-cam, as a joke writer, but then, once I was in year seven or eight of that, I wanted to tell more serialised stories that could have depth and didn't rely on laugh tracks.

"What you're watching in Dead To Me is very much through my lens - how I approach life. I'm a comedian, so my way of handling grief and loss is to feel it and go through it, but also to find the moments that are funny.

"Inevitably, there's something funny in almost every dark thing. If you can find a way to laugh at it, we all know that that helps. It's my coping mechanism."

Roll on 8 May.
