The Haunting of Bly Manor is finally on Netflix and fans are already expecting that the new season will be crammed full of 'hidden' ghosts, much like The Haunting of Hill House.

Well, good news, because it is. Lurking in the dimly-lit scenes, hiding under staircases and behind doors, is a fine collection of sprits and ghouls.

Before we start, a quick heads up - this article contains spoilers, so if you're yet to watch The Haunting of Bly Manor and want to enjoy it spoiler-free click away now.

Netflix

The good folks at decider.com have painstakingly sat through each episode to catch all the ghosts and give you a handy guide to let you know when they appear.

The first episode is the most ghost-filled, with a whopping 11 sneaky appearance - kicking off with the man wearing glasses who first pops up in about six minutes in in the car and then again at around 15 minutes in in the mirror.

He's followed by a dead dude in a top hat, who appears on the staircase about 21 minutes in, and if you were hoping you'd seen the last of the man with the glasses, then you're sadly mistaken and he's in the bathroom 27 minutes in to the first episode.

Around half-an-hour into the show there's some sort of pointy entity in Flora's room, and a plague doctor appears two minutes later when Dani is making herself some tea.

A dark figure appears at 45 minutes in, and something weird flashes up in the mirror a minute later, followed by a cloaked figure in the bathroom one minute later. At 50 minutes we see the plague doctor again, this time outside the house.

They really packed the ghosts into episode one, didn't they?

In episode two we see a creepy doll move by itself five minutes in and that's your lot for hidden ghosts and ghouls in that episode.

Episode three introduces a creepy dead soldier at seven minutes in just behind Hannah's shoulder, he turns up again at minute 20. Thirty minutes in we see a creepy kid in the hallway and then at 35 minutes there's a tall shadowy figure behind Dani.

The man in the glasses is back for episode four, showing his creepy face 13 minutes in, a mere 90-seconds later there's another ghost under the stairs. Dani, love, it's time to leave, surely?

Fifty-minutes in, Dani confronts the ghost of her dead fiancé, but he's not the only spirit hanging around as we can see one just behind her.

Half-an-hour into episode five and the creepy kid is back, she turns up again in episode six 25 minutes in, where she can be seen playing with Flora's dollhouse.

There are no more hidden ghosts until episode eight - but don't worry there's still plenty of in-your-face ones.

In episode eight we see the painting of Viola turn angry, which is little surprise given that we later find out she was bumped off by her own sister.

In episode we see what appears to be Viola in Dani's reflection in the lake about 25 minutes in, and Viola isn't done there, she pops up in the water pitcher at 28 minutes and then again two minutes later - she makes her final appearance at the 34-minute point when Dani is filling up the bathtub.

Finally, your last secret ghost turns up in the form of a hand on the shoulder of a sleeping Jamie.

And there you have it - a lengthy list of secret spooks littered throughout the season.
