People are absolutely loving the new Joker film, which delves into how Batman's biggest nemesis turned into the psychopathic Gotham terrorist.

Star Joaquin Phoenix has been praised for his portrayal of mental illness as well as his descent into madness.

There was a lot of hype around the film and people lost their minds when the trailer dropped. Before that, all we had to go off were a few teasers with posters and Joaquin's laugh.

While the full-length trailer was incredible, the producers really should have thought twice about the music behind it. One person has recreated it with the Kath & Kim theme tune and it sounds absolutely bloody perfect.

I mean, the song has the word joker, clown and jester enough times to make it fit. A clip of the remaster has been uploaded to Twitter, where it has received hundreds of likes. How can you not like this sort of stuff.

While we doubt this will make it for the next instalment in the franchise, but a boy can dream, right?

Joaquin recently revealed that he would be up for doing a sequel, which is what we all wanted to hear.

The actor sat down with Popcorn with Peter Travers, where he told the host that he's dead keen for another movie so they can see just how deep the rabbit hole goes with the Joker.

"I wouldn't have thought of this as my dream role," Phoenix said. "But now, honestly, I can't stop thinking about it.

"I talked to [director] Todd a lot about what else we might be able to do, in general, just working together, but also specifically, if there's something else we can do with Joker that might be interesting.

"So, it ended up being a dream role. It's nothing that I really wanted to do prior to working on this movie."

There's no doubt the movie has become a fan favourite, with it even sitting higher than The Dark Knight on IMDb. Everyone loved Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker, however, with enough time, Joaquin could eventually top it.

The Dark Knight has an impressive 9/10 rating from 2.1 million votes while Joker stands at an impressive 9.1/10 from over 115,000 votes.

We're well aware that there is a difference in the number voters, but it hones in on the fact that both movies have been and will continue to be a huge success.
