Disney boss Bob Iger has confirmed season two of the incredible TV show The Mandalorian will drop in October.

This will be music to people's ears after the first season finished with loads of action. Everyone is after The Child aka Baby Yoda and it seems like they will stop at nothing until they wrestle it out of the Mandalorian's cold, dead hands.

The finale in particular garnered rave reviews from fans and critics, with 'Redemption' getting a very juicy 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis wrote: "It's all so impressively executed, resulting in the best Star Wars content in years. The Mandalorian's pace of storytelling is masterful, with each entry earning a well-timed action sequence that appears to be above television standards."

Now we just have to patiently wait until October to get our binge on.

During the announcement of The Mandalorian's second season, the head of the Mickey Mouse Corp gave an update on when fans can expect other shows like the Marvel spin-off WandaVision (December this year, instead of 2021) and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (August this year).

Iger has been blown away by the 28.6 million people who have signed up to Disney+ since it dropped around the world.

Baby Yoda will return in October.

He said: "We had a strong first quarter, highlighted by the launch of Disney+, which has exceeded even our greatest expectations.

"Thanks to our incredible collection of brands, outstanding content from our creative engines and state-of-the-art technology, we believe our direct-to-consumer services, including Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu, position us well for continued growth in today's dynamic media environment."

Fans watching the Super Bowl were given a cheeky look at some of the shows that we would be getting in the next few months on the streaming service. A trailer mashup of WandaVision, Loki and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier dropped during the big match and it didn't disappoint.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier sees Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan return as the titular characters to continue where the Marvel Cinematic Universe left off after Avengers: Endgame, Daniel Brühl will star as the evil Helmut Zemo.

WandaVision will see Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprising their roles as Wanda Maximoff - or, if you prefer, Scarlet Witch - and Vision.

Again, this series will pick up after the events of Endgame, as with much of what is to come from Phase 4 of the MCU.

On top of that, rounding out the triumvirate of new Marvel TV programmes is Loki. Obviously, they couldn't do that without Tom Hiddleston in the title role, and he's gladly agreed.
