BBC America just dropped the new trailer for Killing Eve Season 3:

It's worth mentioning that this clip was released by BBC America because the fan favourite will be returning to the States on 12 April at 9pm.

The BBC has just announced that upcoming season will be available in the UK a day later on 13 April. What a treat.

BBC America announced they were bringing the return date forward by two weeks and for the UK it's being brought closer by two or three months after originally being scheduled for June or July.

The eight-part series, which was created by Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge, was originally set to hit screens in the US on 26 April but it's been brought forward.

Sarah Barnett, president of AMC Networks Entertainment Group and AMC Studios, told Deadline: "We know how adored this series is and we know how keen people are for great content right now.

"This season of Killing Eve digs deep psychologically, and with actors like Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer and Fiona Shaw the results are nothing short of astonishing. We literally couldn't wait for fans to see it."

Season two left us with a lot of questions after a dramatic finale in which assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer) shot Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) and seemingly left her for dead following a tense stand-off in Rome.

The trailer and pictures that have been officially released confirm what we were all hoping and praying - Eve ain't dead.

Hands up if you're exciting for season 3.

Another thing we know is that Suzanne Heathcote - who previously worked on Fear the Walking Dead - has taken over from Emerald Fennell as lead writer and executive producer.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who wrote the first season and is an executive producer, said: "I'm very excited that the Killing Eve baton is being passed onto another incredible writer for season three. We can sleep soundly knowing these characters are safe in Suzanne Heathcote's hilariously murderous hands."

If you need a little self-isolation pick me up, the latest season will not be the last of Killing Eve. The show was renewed for a fourth season in January, and the smart money says we can expect that to be released in the US in April 2021 and in the UK in June/July 2021.
