The Pharmacist Is The Latest Gripping True Crime Documentary To Hit Netflix
Over four episodes, the mini-series tells the story of Dan Schneider, a pharmacist in Poydras, Louisiana, and his search to find the person who killed his son during a drug deal.
It's a desperate search that leads him to uncover an infamous 'pill mill' doctor in New Orleans.
Mr Schneider was convinced local police weren't interested in his son's murder and that they believed 'these kids got what they deserved'.
His aim was just to 'get the killer off the streets' - little did he know how deep his investigation would lead him.
Though his initial aim was to find a murderer, Mr Schneider instead discovered a number of teenagers in the area were being prescribed 'high-powered' drugs by another pharmacist.
At the time, he even accused the FBI of incompetence and actually being in 'cahoots' with those responsible.
Speaking in the trailer, he says: "There was a certain doctor who was using her licence to decimate my community. I couldn't look the other way.
"I have hundreds of hours from wire-tapping phone conversations about what happened to me."
