The trailer for the second series of Netflix drama Locke and Key has arrived and you can check it out in the video below.

As a warning, this article may just contain a few SPOILERS for season one of Locke and Key, so if you've not finished that yet, you should probably stop reading now.

The supernatural horror series is coming back for a second time, and we've not got that long to wait until we'll be about to see what's going to happen.

In fact, it will be released on 22 October, according to the streaming platform.

What's more, it's already been renewed for a third season, as well.

Whilst we've yet to see a synopsis for season two yet - which is mysterious, to say the least - Netflix has released an updated version of the season one synopsis, which reads: "After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father's death.

"As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens - and will stop at nothing to steal them.

"From Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House), Locke & Key is a coming-of-age mystery about love, loss, and the unshakable bonds that define family."

But you already knew that if you've seen season one, didn't you?

Even though we've got no official synopsis, we can have a go at guessing what will happen in the forthcoming series.

When we last saw the Lockes, they'd been outwitted, and tricked into throwing Ellie into the void beyond the Omega Door, and that Eden was struck by something which could mean that one of the demons now controls him.

That means that there is plenty for them to be getting on with, and fighting against, for the new season.

That, and they'll surely discover some more keys, which is what the whole thing is sort of about anyway.

As we've mentioned, they'll be returning to Netflix on October 22, so we'll just have to give it until then to find out.

In the meantime, why not see what you can make out from the trailer?
