There's a job opening going at the moment and we think it's going to get fans of The Office very excited.

Satellite dish TV company USDish is offering $1,000 (nearly £775) for one fan to binge-watch the entirety of the US version of The Office, based on Ricky Gervais's show of the same name.

But before you go writing your resignation letter at your current place of work, let it be known the job is only available to those in the US.

If you're across the pond and interested in getting paid to watch your favourite TV show, you can apply here.

The lucky candidate who bags the position will earn $1000 by binge-watching 15 hours' worth of episodes over the course of nine days. And there's no need for qualifications or experience - just a sheer love for the shenanigans of Dwight Schrute and co.

According to the job description: "The person who lands the gig will have nine days to watch 15 hours of The Office (roughly 45 episodes). As you're watching, you'll need to complete a checklist that tallies the number of common tropes that occur throughout each episode.

"For instance, how many times does Stanley roll his eyes at the camera? How often does Phyllis talk about Bob Vance from Vance Refrigeration?

"The goal is to help us understand how often sitcoms repeat popular tropes. We'll provide you with general guidelines to track your experience, but in true Kelly Kapoor fashion, we also want you to share your unfiltered opinions and reactions on social media.

"Think Meredith is a little predictable? Wish Toby had more lines? Let's hear it!"

As well as the cash payment for something you'd do for free anyway, benefits include a 'winner's kit' with The Office goods (which may or may not include a Dundie, 'World's Best Boss' mug, Jell-O and a stapler) and a Netflix gift card.

Not to mention the freedom to complete the job from the comfort of your own home - no need to go into the office for this gig.

All applicants need to do to be in with a chance of bagging the dream role is tell USDish why you're the world's biggest The Office fan (a video submission will boost your chances) before Monday 16 March.

And if you're stuck in Blighty, why not binge-watch your fave episodes anyway? You might not get paid for it, but Michael Scott's inspirational quotes are sure to get you smiling after a long day at the office.
