Tom Cruise waved at stunned passers-by from atop a moving train while shooting for the forthcoming movie Mission: Impossible 7. You can watch the video here:
Footage shows the 58-year-old actor sat with his legs casually dangling off the side of the speeding train in Norway as onlookers howl excitedly - in the way you might do if Tom Cruise waved at you from atop of a moving train while shooting Mission: Impossible 7.
This was just another day in the office though for Cruise, who has been playing Ethan Hunt since 1996.
Writer and director Christopher McQuarrie - who also worked with Cruise on Jack Reacher (2012), Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015), and Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018) - shared a visualisation of the train scene on Instagram.
Captioning the image, he said: "Norway's scale and beauty have left an indelible and defining imprint on our film and reminded us that anything is possible."
Work on the film - like everything else - came to a halt earlier this year due to the pandemic, before resuming last month, with Cruise amazing crowds by driving off the 1,246-metre Helsetkopen mountain in Stranda on a motorbike, before parachuting down to safety.
Ole Arnstein Ringdal, one of hundreds who gathered to watch the stunt, told Norwegian news outlet NRK that Cruise rode off the mountain four times.
He added: "After the third jump, he came over and talked to us from a distance of twenty metres. He loves nature here, and is very grateful for the hospitality he has experienced."
Mission: Impossible 7 is due to be released on 19 November 2021, with an eighth instalment set for 4 November 2022.
