Tom Felton Responds To Emma Watson Romance Rumours In New Interview

Tom Felton - yes, he of Draco Malfoy fame - has responded to the rumours that he and fellow Harry Potter star Emma Watson had something going on while they were filming.

Well, 'responded' is a fairly vague term for what actually happened, because - as he put it himself - his 'silence will speak volumes'.

In case you weren't already aware of this, the imagined romance between Draco and Hermione has long been 'shipped' by those who love the Harry Potter world.

Think about it - Gryffindor and Slytherin, it's like a modern day Romeo and Juliet. But did it ever happen?

Even Ron Weasley - Rupert Grint, in real life - has said in the past that there was 'always something' between the two.

Now, speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Tom was asked the question once again, and this time he simply paused and thought about how he was going to respond for a while.

That's when he awkwardly laughed, before adding that his 'silence will speak volumes'.

Sure, it's not a direct confirmation, but it's probably as close as fans are going to get.

Afterwards, he diplomatically added: "We are something, if that makes any sense? We've been very close for a long time. I adore her. I think she's fantastic.

"Hopefully she returns the compliment."

Felton went on: "As far as the romantic side of it, I think that's a Slytherin/Gryffindor thing rather than a Tom and Emma thing.

"I absolutely think the world of her.

"I think to be a part of what we've all been a part of, but for her to be the only girl - certainly the youngest one on set - to grow up with what she had to grow up with was incredibly exciting.

"You're going to get me teary now. But no, I think she's a fantastic influence on the world."

The pair have remained close even after the franchise wrapped up all those years ago, and have even been pictured on holiday together on social media.

However, they've got their co-star to thank for some of the rumours that have continued to swirl after all these years.

Again, speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Grint was asked whether he could ever see Felton and Watson - Feltson, perhaps? Isn't that what people do? - together, he said: "Yeah I could.

"There was always something. There was a little bit of a spark."

Even thought they're not together at the moment, those rumours aren't going to go away any time soon.
