Most of us remember starting high school for the first time. New shoes, new bag, pencil case, uniform - the works.
Safe to say though, things were a bit different for this little LAD. Remember the infamous 'tubby little ginger c**t' from Ricky Gervais' After Life? Well, he started school recently and during his induction was dragged around the classrooms to all the other teachers.
If it needed to be clarified, we haven't given him that nickname, it was how he was addressed by Ricky Gervais' character, after calling the After Life creator a 'paedo'. His real name is Thomas Bastable.
When we caught up with the 11-year-old actor and asked what his favourite bits about his new school are, he simply replied: "Lunch and break." Fair enough, fella. Can't say we blame him.
Speaking a bit more about his transition to big school, Thomas' mum Debbie told LADbible: "It's been good, they've only been back a few days.
"He's not the most academic kid in the world, he finds it a bit boring but he does make friends and he does like it really. He just moans a lot - like about getting up in the morning."
Despite it being a big step for any kid, Thomas is lucky that he's got his twin sister Molly by his side. Although it seems Molly is the one name dropping her brother's star-studded acting career.
Debbie told LADbible: "When he went to his induction, Molly said to his form tutor 'Have you ever watched After Life?' and she was like 'Oh gosh, you shouldn't be watching that at your age'. Molly said that's the little kid from the playground and she dragged him out of the class to show all the other teachers.
"Molly grasses him up, he's used to it to be honest. He just takes it in his stride. He gets a bit embarrassed sometimes because of what is said especially when the teacher's there. But he's not big headed about it. It's usually Molly that brings it up everywhere we go."
Just like many parents, Debbie does worry about her children being in a new environment with other pupils around, even more so because of the name Thomas is called on the hit series.
However, she was very matter-of-fact when it comes to people teasing her son off the back of his appearances, saying: "It had crossed my mind if kids would pick up on it but if kids are going to bully, they're going to bully. They will find something to bully about anyway.
"I don't think it's going to make any difference to him. I think it'll do the opposite though, people will be chuffed and say 'wait til I tell my mates' or 'wait til I tell my mum and dad'."
Unfortunately, there's no mention about Thomas potentially appearing in the upcoming third season of After Life although the family have their 'fingers crossed' and hope he can 'pull it out of the bag again'. Come on, Ricky.
He might not be returning to the series but he does have a pretty decent reminder of it after Gervais sent the I Talk Telly award for 'TV Moment of the Year' to Thomas. What a pair of LADs.
