One sip if Laura is cooking pasta.

A fan of MasterChef Australia has devised a drinking game to accompany the popular TV show - and sounds equal parts epic and chaotic.

Clearly Reddit user feelinlikepinacolada knows the show well, as they have craftily weaved in some classic reality TV tropes as well as specific contestant references.

From the current crop, they've mentioned Laura's love of cooking pasta (which will earn you one sip), Jock's fondness for saying the same word three times (that's two sips), Andy being 'a bro' (another sip of your drink) and Poh's tendency towards being 'chaotic good' (which will make you take a big gulp).

You'll have to take two sips for the classic phrases 'I'm really out of my comfort zone' (aren't we all right now) and 'I'm feeling the pressure' (surprise, surprise when the clock is ticking and your entire reputation is on the line).

The factors that will make you polish off your beverage are: a contestant crying or offering up their sad backstory, and someone preparing a 'technically' perfect meal.

Admittedly, on MasterChef Australia: All Stars that can happen quite a bit, but of course nothing is ever certain.

After posting the drinking game to Reddit, feelinlikepinacolada has been met with loads of comments.

One person said: "Not sure if this is a drinking game or some leaked the script/plot for the next episode."

People have also offered suggestions for things to add to the list.

One user said: "A sip when someone says they're taking a 'risk' or that they really want to impress the judges/x judge."

A second added: "How many gulps is 'I've sacrificed a lot to be here?'"

Meanwhile, a third suggested people watching at home should finish their drink if a contestant says: "I'm usually known for _____ but today I want to show the judges that I can also do _______."

Sounds like this drinking game has a lot of avenues to explore. If you're keen to get a drink for tonight's episode to make things a little spicy, make sure you drink responsibly.
