Volume two of Unsolved Mysteries lands on Netflix today, with more true-crime and supernatural cases being examined.

The six new episodes will feature six brand-new stories, including the case of a death row fugitive; a former White House aide who was found dead in landfill; and a story about ghosts haunting a city following a deadly tsunami.

There's also an episode entitled Death in Oslo, that centres on the mysterious death of a woman at the Plaza Hotel in Norway.

A summary for the episode seen by Yahoo Entertainment, reads: "When a woman was found dead in a luxury hotel room in Oslo, Norway, it appeared to be a suicide.

"However, several pieces didn't add up: she had no identification, her briefcase contained 25 rounds of ammunition and no one reported her missing. Who was this woman, and could she have been part of a secret intelligence operation?"

The new episodes will also cover the case of a woman whose body was found in a river, and the unsolved disappearance of two children from a playground in the 1980s.

A synopsis for volume two reads: "In six new episodes, Unsolved Mysteries explores more unexplained disappearances, tragic events, and bizarre occurrences.

"What led to the death of a well-respected political insider? Was an unidentified woman found dead in Oslo, Norway, part of a secret intelligence operation? Did the sudden loss of lives in Japan's 2011 tsunami result in supernatural encounters?

Netflix

"Perhaps viewers hold vital clues that will help solve these mysteries. Detectives, journalists, and family members offer intriguing theories in this gripping series from the creators of the original docuseries."

If you're not familiar with the show, it's a reboot of an old format that originally ran from 1987 to 2010.

Much as the title suggests, it examines cold cases and unsolved mysteries.

Or, as Netflix put it: "Fusing signature elements from the original series with contemporary immersive, character-driven storytelling, the 12 new episodes are rooted in the experiences of ordinary people who have lived the unthinkable - from the trauma of a loved one's unexplained disappearance or horrific death, to the shock of a bizarre paranormal encounter.

"Alongside detectives and journalists, family members offer clues, present theories, and identify suspects, hoping one viewer holds the key to solving the mystery."

Unsolved Mysteries volume one and two are available on Netflix now.
