Warner Bros Is Looking For Harry Potter Fans To Take Part In Quiz Show

If you fancy yourself as a bit of Potterhead then you might be interested to know that a televised Harry Potter quiz is looking for contestants who reckon they know everything their is to know about the Wizarding World.
To mark 20 years since the cinematic release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone or Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, as it's known in the US, Warner Bros is planning a special four-day event.

The as-yet unnamed competition will see fans of the franchise battling it out to be crowned the winner across four one-hour-long challenges that will air over consecutive days.
And if you're not lucky enough to get picked to take part, you can still play along at home.
According to a statement from Wizarding World: "The quiz series itself will be celebrate the incredible fandom and their love of the Harry Potter films and stories - and will be open to contestants who are 14 years old and over, with fans of all ages able to join in from home.
"So, many generations of wizarding world fan can get involved!"
Tom Ascheim, President of Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults said: 'To celebrate our dedicated fans who have passionately kept the Wizarding World magic alive in so many forms for decades, these exciting specials will celebrate their Harry Potter fandom in a must-see multiplatform TV event.
"All Potter fans can gear up for this ultimate one-of-a-kind celebration by embracing their inner Hermione Granger and studying their Wizarding World knowledge.
"For fans who have always wanted to discover what it might be like to take the O.W.L. exams, this is as close as they are going to get!"

The competition will air on HBO Max, Cartoon Network and TBS with plans for international viewers released in the coming weeks.
Unfortunately for British fans of the franchise, the show only looking for US residents, but if that's you and you're over the age of 14 then you can find out more, or apply, here.
As part of the application, you'll need to explain who your favourite Harry Potter character is and why; which of the movies is your favourite; and why you're Harry Potter's biggest fan.
As yet, the show has no release date, but pre-production is set to start next month, and the application asks that contestants be available between 23 August and 6 September for filming in Los Angeles.
