If you weren't a fan of true crime before, then I imagine lockdown has really got you branching out with which genres you watch.

And now - you might even be able to turn your fave hobby of watching how the minds of murderers work, you can even bag yourself a bit of spare cash in the process.

Of course - there's a catch, it means you have to watch a full day's worth of content in two days. If you're anything like me, you will think that's a walk in the park.

MagellanTV - a streamer that exclusively shows documentaries, is hosting a competition for a fan to win $1,000 if they can watch 24 hours of true crime documentaries.

The chosen participant will get a year of free membership to the service, and three three-month long memberships for the pals and family.

They will get 48 hours to watch 24 full hours of content, documenting what they're watching on social media. I can't be alone when I say this is a regular occurrence anyway.

The true crime documentaries that will be part of the challenge have already been picked. It will include 16 different shows that all look into infamous criminals, including Manson's Missing Victims and Manson 40 Years Later.

Other kinds of crime are looked it too. The lineup also has investigative shows, like Undercover Asia - this one looks into the dark worlds of secret organ markets, slave trades and other such topics.

From shorter features, like the 44 minute Tortured to Death: Murdering the Nanny, as well as absolute marathon, including Behind Bars, which is a mammoth 288 minutes long - almost five hours.

If you think this is up your street and you won't be too traumatised by 24 hours of pretty horrific material, you can fill in an application on the MagellanTV website.

To enter, you need to be based in the US, and you'll be required to write a short essay. Still though, a grand would be nice, wouldn't it?

You will also have to answer a few basic questions, as well as your essay - in which you need to explain why you should get the job. Entrants are also being encouraged to include a video submission, although it's not a requirement.

Of course, you'll need to include your social media handles so they can see how hilarious and insightful all your tweets are.

Since the winner will be asked to document their "All-Night Crime Watch," MagellanTV also encourages entrants to include their social media handles.

To enter, you need to be at least 18 years old or 'have reached the age of majority under the laws of the state where [they] reside'.

Make sure you apply by 4 May, at 5pm EST.
