Britain's oldest identical twins 95-year-old Doris Hobday and Lil Cox had viewers laughing their heads off during a cheeky appearance on Good Morning Britain.

The hilarious pair won the hearts of hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid as well as viewers during the segment in which they joked that the secret to a long life was 'plenty of sex' and Lil revealed a not-so-secret crush on Jason Statham.

The twins took part from lockdown in the West Midlands where they are staying in their daughter's house after being moved out of their care home.

When Piers asked: "I heard I have a love rival - you're rather hot on him?"

Lil responded: "One night with him and I'll die happy!"

Susanne Reid could be heard howling with laughter with the cheeky response as the two women burst out into fits of giggles.

When Morgan then suggested that one of the women might be an ideal match for 100-year-old Captain Tom, Lil quipped: "I want bloody thrilling, not killing!"

The twins were a huge hit with viewers who flocked to social media to praise them for their good sense of humour, one person wrote: "Never laughed so much. These ladies are so witty and funny a joy to watch love to them both."

Another asked: "Can we have Lil and Doris on every morning? They're exactly what we need in these times... Don't normally watch GMB or breakfast TV but it's on today..."

A third said: "I'm absolutely howling at Lil and Doris, so funny. Britain's oldest identical twins. I hope I'm so sharp if I make it to their age... Doris and Lil Red - give them a slot every day GMB."

Thankfully, if you do want to see more of Lil and Doris then they've got their very own Facebook page, which has more than 13,000 followers, or on Twitter where the 'Tipton Twins' regularly share updates.
