It's probably the closest (in terms of vicinity) that the two Gallagher brothers have been in quite some time.

Whilst Liam was rocking everyone out on The Other Stage at Glastonbury, his brother, Noel, was at a special question and answer session on the same site.

Noel was introducing a special screening of Oasis documentary, Supersonic, when he invited the audience to burst into song.

The elder Gallagher brother encouraged the fans to sing 'Don't Look Back In Anger' - the song that has become synonymous with the city of Manchester since the terrorist attack one month ago.

Earlier in the day, Liam Gallagher, for the first time ever, also sang the song during his set at Glasto. The Mancunian singer paid tribute to the victims of the Manchester and London terror attacks, as well as the Grenfell Tower fire disaster.

The lyrics to 'Don't Look Back In Anger' have been sung on numerous occasions at various events in tributes to the victims of the attack at the Manchester Arena on May 22, each one as poignant as the last.

The song initially became used during a vigil held in the city's St Ann's Square, which followed a minute's silence. The Courteeners held their rendition, just days after the suicide explosion, during their gig at Emirates Old Trafford. And, at the One Love Manchester benefit concert, Liam Gallagher performed another Oasis classic, 'Live Forever', in front of over 50,000 people with his version.

Noel spoke about his emotion behind the song. Speaking to the crowd, he said: "I've got to say, I was sat at home watching the minute silence when they started singing and for the first time in my life, I was fucking speechless.

"I was honestly taken back. Even now, I still don't know what to say. The fact that people rallied around this song."

He also revealed where the inspiration behind 'Sally' - the girl mentioned in the song - came from.

"About a year ago I was doing a gig with Richard Ashcroft," Noel Explained. "I always thought it was Liam that did Sally, but he said, 'it was me'.

"Richard Ashcroft claims he came up with the name. But I got all the swimming pools and fucking massive TVs."

Noel was criticised by his brother following the One Love Concert for not turning up. In a series of tweets, he blasted his brother's no-show. In one tweet, Liam said: "Manchester I'd like to apologise for my brothers absence last night very disappointed stay beautiful stay safe."

In response, Noel's representatives explained that he was attending a 'longstanding family trip' which had been organised long before the concert.

"Needless to say, he is very supportive of the event and wishes everyone huge success," the statement continued.

Well, with this little gesture, it may seem he's redeemed himself, and people can now see his support.

However, there is still no word, despite the two being in the same location, whether there will be an Oasis reunion.
