Stormzy Smashes Glastonbury, Gets Smashed, And Pays Tribute To His Girlfriend

Stormzy is having quite the 2017 so far. He was nominated for British Breakthrough Act at the BRIT awards, has had both singles he's released in the UK top 40, and a number one album.

On Saturday, he got to perform at the Other Stage at Glastonbury in front of thousands. Before absolutely smashing his set, he paid tribute to his 'man', Jeremy Corbyn too.

Stormzy led the crowd into a rendition of 'Oh Jeremy Corbyn' before going on to sing his version of Ed Sheeran's Shape Of You, Shut Up and Big For Your Boots.

After all of that, and owning it, you can imagine he was pretty buzzing with life. To celebrate, it looks like he had his few drinks.

His Twitter feed showed, in public, what most of us have texted unashamedly to our other half when drunk.

The street-wise rapper posted several tweets, one of which was towards his girlfriend, Maya Jama.

And good lad, he should be proud of her. He's not wrong either. The hard-working television presenter is a mental health advocate and a real down-to-earth girl.

She's also got a decent comedy side to her, her snapchat stories are pretty funny, and brutally honest at times too.

Stormzy, also in his self-admitted drunken softness (come on, we've all got a side to us like that) also paid tribute to Coldplay's lead singer, Chris Martin, Katy Petty and magician Dynamo.

It looks like the rest of 2017 is going to be a pretty fine one for Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr (that's Stormzy to me and you)!
