It's out later this month.

It's been 17 years since Snatch hit cinemas and introduced the world to Brad Pitt's questionable 'Irish' accent - 'do you like dags?' and became an instant classic. And you're lying if you say you don't regularly quote parts of this film to your mates.

Now, almost two decades after its big screen debut, Snatch is making its way to the small screen, but rather than catch up with the original cast all this time later, the whole thing has been re-imagined with a more millennial-friendly cast.

The cast of younger stars includes Rupert Grint, Luke Pasqualino and Ed Westiwck, and if the trailer is anything to go by, it's going to be essential viewing.

The story centres on the gang of twenty-something wannabe hustlers accidentally finding themselves in possession of a truck load of stolen gold bullion and quickly end up embroiled in the world of organised crime in London's east end.

Snatch may feature a brand new cast and new storylines but it looks like it's full of the same mix of East End gangsters, fighters, mobsters and rogue cops.

Obviously best known for playing Harry Potter's best pal Ron Weasley, Rupert Grint looks completely different as Charlie Canvendish. The actor told the NME his character is 'quite weird', which is a good start.

He went on: "He comes from an aristocratic background, but has no money and their house is falling apart. His parents are hippies with weird sex partners and the dad grows weed in the basement. Charlie just wants to escape that."

Whereas, Pasqualino's character - Albert Hill - is a little more 'East End', the son of gangster Vic Hill, played by Dougray Scott, he 'just wants to keep his head above water and help his mum out with some bills', according to the actor. But 'ends up getting into right capers with his trusty mates'.

Tamer Hassan, who was fucking excellent in The Business, also stars as Hate 'Em All Henry. Speaking to BT-TV about the reboot, he said: "Snatch is the coolest movie brand on the planet. Alex De Rakoff (the writer) made a conscience decision not to have anyone from the original cast in the TV show. A lot of the original cast are friends of mine and they said, 'why don't you leave it alone', but Alex took a gamble.

"He sat down with Guy Ritchie and Guy just said, 'make it effing good'.

"I think it's got the right beats, the right feel. It's hard to match anything Guy does, but Alex does it brilliantly."

That's a good enough endorsement for me.

The new series begins on Tuesday 31 October at 10pm on AMC on BT TV
