Following Grid Girl Ban, Fans Are Worried ‘Countdown’ Will Get Rid Of Rachel Riley

There is concern among some Countdown fans over the job security of Rachel Riley. While the TV star has been a fixture of the intellectual show for some time, people reckon she could get booted or asked to dress more conservatively following Formula 1's decision to get rid of grid girls.

That's right, she wrote 'SQUIRTER'. Which isn't quite as direct as the most recent version, perhaps, but still has the potential to get the easily-embarrassed coughing and spluttering when watching Countdown round at their nan's house.

Of course, she was clearly just having a little bit of fun, but what do you think the viewers at home thought?

Or Carol Vorderman, for that matter. We can't imagine her writing anything as remotely unsavoury as that. Or can we?
