You'd imagine filming scenes for Black Mirror would be seriously fun work - creating entire worlds that resemble anything from a candy-coloured social media bubble ('Nosedive') through to the inside of a video game ('Playtest').
Whoever's on the wardrobe and staging duties for those must have a ball, given that each episode is entirely different to the ones before and after.
But there's one we all remember, and that's the 1987-set 'San Junipero', where the shy Yorkie meets outgoing Kelly against a sultry, beachy backdrop. This one proved so popular that it even won BAFTA Television Craft awards for its costume, makeup and hair design, along with a couple of Primetime Emmy awards.

Well, judging by sneak peaks of Black Mirror's season five, it seems the creative team have their work cut out once again to take us back to the 1980s.
This time round we're being transported to Britain, and the year will be 1984 - with photos posted by locals revealing that the streets of Croydon have been fitted with retro shop signs to help set the scene.
A letter issued from the crew to local residents explained that they'd be filming in Croydon's St George's Walk, while also providing a quick plug for the show by saying it is 'hugely popular with its audience and strives to use beautiful locations within all the films'.

We're not sure 'beautiful' is the right word for the brown 1980s WH Smith sign, but it sure looks like a good throwback. We can't wait.
