Gogglebox just hasn't been the same after the death of Leon, one of the stars of the show. The curmudgeonly Scouser was a fan favourite, along with his long-suffering wife June, and many were devasted to hear that he passed away shortly before Christmas after a short illness.
JUNE AND LEON ON THE GOGGLEBOX EXPERIENCE
Now, June has announced that she will not be appearing in the show without her husband, ending one of the most enduring double acts in Gogglebox history. She had previously intimated that she might continue with one of her daughters, but recently tweeted to confirm that she will sit out the rest of the show.
"It was a great adventure with a great finale with the NTA," tweeted June, referring to the National Television Awards, when the other Goggleboxers dedicated their Best Factual Entertainment award to her and her late husband.
Fans were quick to respond to the tweet, offering support to the bereaved June.

"I'll miss you June but I understand it would be too hard without Leon, lots of love," wrote one social media user, while another added: "You will be missed but it's totally understandable... he was such a great character on the show, will be missed by us all, take care of yourself x."
Leon and June were two of the breakout stars of the show, with fans enjoying their marital bickering and warm sense of humour. Leon was particularly noted for his gruff Scouse manners, especially his hatred of the Conservative party and love of Everton Football Club.
The couple spent 60 years of their lives with each other, with June telling media after his death that they had spent just four days apart in the whole duration of their relationship.
When he died, Channel Four and the production company behind Gogglebox, Studio Lambert, released a statement paying tribute to the unlikely star of the show.

It read: "Leon's unique personality and sharp wit endeared him to fans of the show, as he contributed fully to Gogglebox's reputation as a programme full of warm humour and unvarnished opinion.
"To those of us that knew him personally, Leon was a man of unwavering principles who exerted a distinct paternal presence both on and off screen. He will be dearly missed by the entire Gogglebox family; cast and crew."
It had been rumoured that June would continue on the show, but without the second half of her double act, she will gracefully withdraw. We'll miss them both.
