Jeremy Kyle has had his fair share of insults from guests in his time and usually they wash over him like water off a duck's back - but one guest today appeared to get right under his skin when he hit him with a 'low-blow' over his lack of awards. Ouch.

Jezza, best known for screaming at fully grown adults who should know better than to air their dirty laundry on national TV for the lure of £250 ($350), was acting as peacemaker between two guests on today's show, titled 'Brother, I banned you from my wedding after you tried to sleep with my wife!'

The title pretty much tells you all you need to know, really. On the show there were two warring brothers - Dylan and Paul - who had fallen out over claims that Dylan had tried to bed Paul's other half Emily. So far, so Jeremy Kyle, right?

Until Dylan piped up to say that he 'didn't even like' the presenter - something that, I'm sure, doesn't bother him in the slightest. However, Dylan then went below the belt, adding: "Why would anyone like you? You can't even win an award."

A stunned Jeremy dropped to the floor with his head in his hands briefly, before walking off the stage. You OK, hun?

On Twitter many viewers thought the comments were spot-on:

Our man Jeremy misses out on the National Television Award for 'most popular daytime show' every year, with the gong usually going to This Morning instead.

He turned to the audience and said: "I tell you what: if I had this bit of music, I'd win."

Jezza then added: "So I haven't won an award but I have got a job and I don't abuse my family or my brother's wife."

Oh, and in case you were wondering how it all panned out between the brothers, an update posted to Twitter following the show read: "After the show Craig and Dylan went their separate ways. Craig and Emily are concentrating on Emily's pregnancy and looking forward to welcoming their new addition in the near future."

Well, good luck to them and good luck to Jezza at next year's NTAs.
