Michael C Hall Stars In New Netflix Show And It Looks So Good

Michael C Hall new Netflix show looks really good and he even manages to do a decent British accent:

The actor, best known for playing Dexter, makes a return to the small screen in new mystery series Safe set in the UK.

According to the official synopsis: "Michael C Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under) plays Tom, a paediatric surgeon and single father of two teenage daughters who is struggling to deal with the loss of his wife from cancer more than two years previously.

"Living and raising his children in a beautiful gated community surrounded by close friends, Tom finds himself on a journey that transforms everyone he knows. How far will you go to protect your family? It's a question often asked, but Tom will now live it.

"Amanda Abbington (Sherlock, Crooked House) joins Hall and is playing Sophie - a formidable detective sergeant. Intelligent, dynamic, perceptive and smart, Sophie lives in the same gated community as Tom and like him, is raising two kids single-handedly.

"Sophie knows you can't trust anybody and we glimpse that she is burdened with secrets of her own."

The show was written by British writer Danny Brocklehurst (Shameless) and has eight episodes in the first season.

Speaking to Variety, Michael revealed that he was excited about having the chance to play a 'normal person'.

He said: "Having a chance to play someone who is more or less a normal person and around and to whom crazy things are happening, as opposed to a person within whom crazy things are happening is a nice change of pace."

Harlan Coban, who created the series and acted as executive producer, told the Independent he wanted to make a 'gripping drama, one with thrills and twists'.

And if that isn't enough to get you excited, Coban said the final episode of the first season will 'wallop you like a surprise wave'.

Safe is released on 10 May, so not too long until we get to the bottom of the mystery, then.
