BBC Breakfast news is often a weird mix of serious matters and bizarre news items; reporting on the ongoing shit storm that is Brexit one minute before moving seamlessly on to some man who has worn a different Christmas jumper every day for the past 40 years. However, one thing viewers probably wasn't expecting to see was a massive dildo getting waved around at 9.08am and yet, that's exactly what they got yesterday. Check it out:

Hosts Naga Munchetty and Cahrlie Stayt were speaking to Stormzy about his new single Blinded By Your Grace Pt 2, when they showed a clip taken during his appearance at Glastonbury last year.

So far, so BBC. Except, the clip in question showed a man dressed as a policeman waving around a huge black dildo.

The hosts either didn't notice or are just so professional they carried on regardless, so far play to them.

I think we all know about the dangers of broadcasting live, but this was a pre-recorded clip. I mean, who the fuck signed off on this?

A spokesperson from the BBC told The Sun: "A handful of people spotted a fleeting shot of someone in the crowd at Glastonbury holding up something which seems to have caused some amusement on social media - we're not aware that viewers took offence."

Nah, viewers definitely didn't take offence, they loved it and took to social media to tweet about it:

I love how immature we all get when something like this happens. Top work, BBC.
