You're only as old as you feel. That's the saying, isn't it? So, when Anne Gandy MBE (yeah, she's a special sort of woman) was asked what she wanted to do for her 91st birthday bash she explained that she would love to go to Bongo's Bingo - for the second time in as many years.

Can everyone be more Anne-like, please?

A mother of four, grandmother of seven, and great-grandmother of two from Walton, Liverpool, Anne went to the party venue in her hometown last year after asking her family to take her. Fair play, we say.

She got up on stage and everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' to her, and she enjoyed it so much that she went again this year.

This summer, Anne's family asked her what she wanted to do and she replied again: "Bongo's Bingo, please!" But the difference was that this year, they went all out for the birthday girl.

Jonny Bongo, Bongo's Bingo's co-founder (don't say that after a few pints) told LADbible: "Her daughter got in touch and we knew we really wanted to spoil her and make a fuss of her this time, especially as the team had learned of the amazing work she has done in the Liverpool community for decades, and getting an MBE from it.

"So this time we went to collect Anne and her family in a Hummer limo, took her to the Albert Dock drinking lots of fizz, then to [Bongo's Bingo venue] Camp and Furnace for the show.

"She is such a wonderful lady with a great family, everyone was buzzing she was there. Bongo's Bingo is all about having fun for everyone, from 18 to 91 and more. It's a really mixed crowd who come to our shows across the UK and beyond, and having Anne there added a whole new dimension to the show for us all.

"It was an honour she wanted to come again! She loves how we are quintessentially Bingo and there is so much more going on at each show!"

"So I got Anne on stage and the whole room sang 'Happy Birthday', but this time she wanted to speak to everyone. So I gave her the mic on stage and next thing she is asking everyone to sit down with 800 people in the palm of her hand, then recited a hilarious poem about getting old which had the whole room in stitches - it was such a beautiful moment. We couldn't believe it!

"Then five minutes later she was dancing away in the rave round to N-Trance's 'Set You Free' with her family right at the front. What. A. Lady!"

Well, we can't fault you, Anne. But next time send us an invite.

A representative from Bongo's Bingo added: "Anne is the oldest player we have had for Bongo's Bingo - so far! She is an amazing woman and it was such a brilliant show, which Jonny really wanted to be about her."

Now, you might be wondering what makes Anne so incredible that she's got an MBE.

Well, she's known as the 'Wonder of Walton' as she has looked after generations of children over the years, according to the Liverpool Echo.

She attends playgroups and when she's not doing that Anne has acted as a 'host mother' to foreign students at the Liverpool School of English.

The community champ told the Echo: "People are always saying I should retire and just put my feet up, but I don't want to. I want to keep going. I think it keeps me young. Everyone is always asking me, 'What are you on?'"

But the burning question - will she be back? Anne explained: "I had such an amazing night and can't wait to come back for my 92nd birthday celebrations!"

Why did we even question it?!
