However unlikely it may have seemed just three short weeks ago, football manager Harry Redknapp has become something of a national treasure during his time on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.

Such a hit was he that he's now been crowned the show's winner.

Audiences were won over by the East End gaffer's funny stories and deep love for his wife Sandra, and they chose him as their king of the jungle in tonight's final.

And according to some, he could now be in line to earn an absolute packet on top of his £500,000 signing fee, after he leaves the Australian jungle and returns home to Blighty.

Report in the Mirror Online suggest that industry experts reckon the 71-year-old could rake in millions from TV shows, books and endorsements - which would probably be a lot less stressful that donning the tracksuit and taking on another top flight managerial role.

The ex-Tottenham Hotspur boss is already set to return to television screens fairly soon when he tries to get 13 ex-England pros back in shape for the new ITV series, Match Fit.

But as well as making the nation laugh with his funny stories, it's his relationship with his wife that people really want to know about - with some eager to see a fly-on-the-wall documentary about he loving couple.

The pair were briefly reunited last week when Sandra joined her husband of 51 years in the jungle for an emotional hug and a kiss.

Evicted camp mate and Vamps singer, James McVey said: "His life is Sandra and for Kirstie and I they are the absolute example of what our life is together. I'd would love to be like them."

But it's not just reality TV the former West Ham player is interested in.

Last week the veteran revealed that he would love to star in a movie as gangster, or play a baddie in EastEnders.

DIY SOS presenter turned singer, Nick Knowles, asked Harry about life outside the jungle.

He said: "Do you fancy a bit of acting when you get back?"

Adding: "Do you fancy playing a gangster in a gangster movie?"

The ex-Portsmouth boss's eyes lit up and he even had a name ready, as if he'd been waiting years for someone to finally ask him.

He then went on to do a pitch perfect impression of a dodgy gangster.

He joked: "I could be a slasher! Slasher Redknapp."
