Festival season is always full of great moments. So far this year we've had an emphatic Glastonbury, culminating in an epic Foo Fighters headline slot, among many other amazing summer moments.

V Festival is currently underway, with Jay Z and Pink headlining at Weston Park and Hylands Park. The American rapper took to the stage last night to perform a hit-filled set, ending it with a tribute to late singer Chester Bennington.

Jay, real name Shawn Corey Carter, collaborated with Chester and Linkin Park in 2004 to create Collision Course, a mash-up album of the two's songs.

The song 'Numb/Encore' was the only single to be released off the album, reaching major success in American and Europe. Jay Z ended his Saturday V Festival with the tune, dedicating it to Chester.

"Can I get some love for Chester tonight?" the rapper asked the Staffordshire crowd, before asking them to "make some noise so he can hear you in heaven."

Naturally it was very emotional for a lot of people, but a fitting tribute.

Mike Shinoda, also of Linkin Park, tweeted about the performance, saying: "We appreciate you."

The star will continue the V Festival weekend when he takes to the stage in Chelmsford tonight, at Hylands Park.

Amazing.
