Charles Bronson's future wife Paula Williamson graced ITV's Good Morning Britain and host Piers Morgan didn't hold back.

Morgan accused Ms. Williamson of doing it all for a publicity stunt, and it caused quite a reaction.

"You're marrying a man who spends 22 hours a day in solitary confinement. It's a publicity stunt, isn't it? Why else would you get engaged to him?"

But the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress wasn't going down without a fight.

She bit back at Piers, saying: "I wouldn't get married to Britain's most notorious prisoner if I was doing it as a publicity stunt."

"I can understand that [it's different], but now I'm branded as Charles Bronson's fiancé."

Morgan then lashed out at her, saying, "That's what you want! You sought him out!"

It's hard to say whether she is or isn't doing it for a bit of attention - Paula has known the convicted armed robber for four years and the pair got engaged on Valentine's Day this year, with him reportedly singing a version of Frank Sinatra's 'My Way' down the phone to her as part of the proposal.

Bronson has been locked up for more than four decades - with the majority being spent in solitary confinement for attacking prison staff and hostage situations.

But despite his violent past, Paula insists he's changed.

"Charlie is the first to admit he's done a lot of terrifying things and I'm aware of those things but the Charlie I know isn't the same person who's committed those offences.

"He's made these mistakes but he's a different character now."

It's not the first time Piers Morgan has got into a feud with a guest

He reduced Sarah Louise Byran to tears after branding her the "worst parent on the planet."
The mum appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk about how she invoiced a friend for £325 after her daughter's red leather boots were marked after a play date.

During the heated debate, Sarah said: "If you sent your child somewhere to be looked after by a responsible parent and they came back with scratches on their body..."

Piers interrupted, saying: "But you're not a responsible parent, are you?"

She retorted: "But you don't even know what I am."

To which he replied: "I do know what kind of parent you are, you're the worst kind."

The debate divided opinion, but many felt he was withing his rights to voice his opinion.

But sometimes guests can manage to shut him up

Comedian Joel Dommett destroyed Morgan while being interviewed about his second place position in I'm A Celebrity.

Piers tried to have the last laugh, saying, "We say, good effort, sorry you lost and good luck because your career's going to go from strength to strength."

But Joel was having none of it, replying with, "It's okay, I prefer Jeremy Clarkson."
