Can You Crack This 'Impossible' Valentine’s Day Puzzle That's Gone Viral

So go and do something different, get locked in an escape room, or go to Greggs, whatever.

Here we go again - Valentine's Day is next week and you need to find a way to conveniently tell that special person in your life that you love them in a way that is both financially measurable and thoughtful.

Groupon did a survey of 2,000 people in relationships and found that more than half (53 percent) of them feel as if there is nothing new at this time of year. They feel as if they do the same thing every single Valentine's Day and almost half of those asked thought that they would be able to predict what their partner would get for them.

Twenty six percent of people polled find their Valentine's traditions predictable and dull. More than a third of the women in the study (if you can call it that) said that they never get surprised and taken out for the day (come on, Groupon, its 2018 - men can be taken for a surprise day out by women too nowadays).

Fifty six percent of people have never been taken on a lovely romantic picnic, although whether this was specifically around Valentine's Day or not could be the difference. A picnic can only be so romantic when it is about -1 and pissing it down.

More than half of women (again, very progressive from Groupon) have never been taken away for the weekend for a romantic getaway.

However, 80 percent of people in the survey will still be doing something or other this year to celebrate February 14th.

Most people just want to be taken out somewhere, it turns out. 80 percent said that they'd like an experience instead of a gift, so that they can share it and enjoy quality time with their partner.

But, how good are you at looking for love? Have a look at this picture created by Groupon and see if you can see the man presenting his girlfriend with a bunch of flowers.

Did you find them? Well, even if you did, you might still be in for a miserable Valentine's Day anyway.

Luckily there are some pretty funny and inventive ideas this year. You could go to Wetherspoons or Greggs for your Valentine's Day meal. Sound fun? Ok maybe not.

You could go to a gig, or the cinema (especially great if you're not a big talker), or do something weirder.

As part of the Groupon campaign they enlisted actress for an advert for Date Night - in which they offer money off experiences for Valentine's Day.

She says: "Ladies don't want the same old thing. We want our men to get creative. Let's do an exotic trip for two somewhere; let's get a couple's massage; let's get locked in an escape room; let's get weird.

"And with the money you save, you can still get her those same flowers!"

The couple's massage sounds great, but an escape room? I get enough of that at home, thanks.
