Bam Margera Is Back On A Skateboard And Looking Great

Great to see.

Back in the day, along with his Jackass and CKY compadres, Bam Margera was somewhat of a cult hero.

His skating skills were obvious from a young age, being sponsored by Toy Machine Skateboards in 1997 when he was 18. He used his skateboarding talent and aptitude for hurting himself to create videos with his friends, later independently releasing them as the CKY Video series in 1999.

Thanks to the videos, and his rising profile as a skateboarder, he and close friend Ryan Dunn, also a member of the 'CKY Crew', were drafted in to be part of the cast of Jackass.

Three seasons later, and after the release of the first Jackass movie, Bam got his own TV show on MTV, called Viva La Bam. Similar to the CKY videos and Jackass, the series heavily focused on skateboarding and stunts, but was centred around Bam's home life with his mum and dad, April and Phil, his uncle, Don Vito, as well as his friends, Ryan Dunn, Brandon DiCamillo, Chris Raab and Rake Yohn.

However, following the success of Jackass 3D and the untimely death of his best friend Dunn, Margera has been rather quiet. The death of Dunn struck him hard, and lead him to alcoholism and a worrying state.

He recently appeared on Family Therapy With Dr Jenn with his mother, which showed him trying to get back on track while in rehab.

Sadly, due to his problems he has not been part of a skateboarding team since 2016 and has effectively retired from professional skating. An upsetting fact for all his fans.

It's great then, to learn, that recently he seems to be on the mend, and he's back on a board.

Looking much better than he has in a long time, with a slick haircut and neatly shaven, he's seen shredding on a mini ramp, and yep, he's still fucking got it.

Bam is reportedly trying to relearn how to skate after some years without doing so. Living in Barcelona, it looks as if he's on the right track, and is allegedly trying to get a new deal with Element. This would be great to see.

To be honest, it's just fantastic to see him looking fit and healthy with a smile on his face.
