The couple behind the popular TikTok account @alphafamilia have announced they are also step-siblings.

Diana Camila Avila and Jordie Vena have gone viral with various clips - some of which see Diana adopting a high-pitched 'baby voice' - and have more than nine million likes, 600,000 and countless views, while Diana's Instagram account has more than 41,000 followers.

The couple started off pretty much like any other couple trying to get TikTok famous, with clips involving dancing, cosplay and comedy skits based on their relationship, but they caused quite a stir when they later revealed that they're actually step-siblings.

Speaking to LADbible, Diana said: "We met six years ago but we started dating three years ago. We met through our parents."

She went on to say that it was 'love at first sight' but because of how they met they both kept their feelings quiet.

However, one night, while their parents were away the pair ended up kissing and the rest is history.

After revealing how they met, the pair were hit with some criticism - one TikTok user commented: "Good luck convincing your parents."

While another said watching the kiss made them 'feel uncomfortable'.

But the couple have happily hit back at their critics; in one video Jordie tells those who disapprove of their coupling: "too bad for you."

While Diana announced: "We love each other, and if you don't like it well too bad" before adding that they are 'proudly step-siblings'.

Speaking about the critical comments, Diana said: "People are very negative about our relationship. We get negativity daily.

"It's hard for people to understand our relationship, but love is love. It's hard to know who you're going to fall in love with."

At this point, I should make it clear that the pair aren't related by blood, so there's nothing illegal going on.

And not everyone is against the relationship, the pair have plenty of fans who enjoy their posts and will happily stick up for them.

Defending them on a recent clip, one person wrote: "I don't understand why they get hate. I love both of them so much."

Talking about their future plans, Diana said: "We are just taking it as it goes.

"Right now, we're not planning on having any kids, but in the future of course."
