Wayne And Coleen Rooney Splash Out £10,000 On Christmas Decorations

The pair, along with their four sons, will be spending their first Christmas in their new £20 million Cheshire mansion. So, we guess it's a special year for the family.

If you think the Rooney's are going a bit overboard with decorators, it's worth noting that many stars will bring in professionals to help them.

One of the trees features glitzy bows, huge baubles and even an owl on a white and silver tree with frosted pine cones.

Wayne and Coleen married in 2008 and, despite being together since their teenage years, things haven't always been plain sailing.

In an Amazon Prime documentary about her husband called Rooney, Coleen spoke out about his various infidelity scandals.

Speaking on the documentary, Coleen said: "I knew groups Wayne was hanging around with - together with alcohol - not good. I forgive him but it wasn't acceptable."

Wayne himself admitted in the programme that the scandals from across his career have affected him, too. 

He explained: "People still look at me in a different way. For me, it's important that people remember me for who I am rather than what I've done."

In 2004, Wayne was discovered to have slept with a sex worker and it was also claimed that he'd slept with other older workers at a brothel in Liverpool.

Four years later, he and Coleen were married in Italy, but he was found to have slept with two more sex workers in 2010, just two years after that. 

Then, in 2017, a woman claimed that she was having a 'kiss and cuddle' with the England striker before he was arrested for drink-driving whilst Coleen was pregnant with the couple's fourth child.
