Remember we all sort of wanted Dwayne Johnson to run for president? We all thought he'd make a good candidate and even those of us who can't vote in the US would be backing him, remember?

And then, because its 2017 and everything is quite weird now, the big fella himself hinted that he would give it a shot. He told GQ: "I think it's a real possibility.

"Personally, I feel that if I were president, poise would be important.

"Leadership would be important. Taking responsibility for everybody."

Well, now, he's dropped an even bigger hint that he's taking the thought of running for POTUS seriously.

Speaking at a panel at Stan Lee's Los Angeles Comic Con this weekend, he said: "I think the 'People's President' has a really nice ring to that. I'll just say that."

I think we can assume that's a reference to his signature WWE move - the People's Elbow and as slogans go, I think it's a really good one.

Can you even imagine how fucking amazing the campaign trail would be with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson taking part in rallies - asking everyone if they can smell what the future president is cooking and doing The Rock Bottom on his opponent.

Bookies even slashed odds of Johnson becoming US president back in the summer, following the campaign from super-fan Kenton Tilford.

Twenty-six-year-old Tilford told CNN that he reckons Johnson's popularity could unite the divided nation.

He said: "With this level of vitriol and anger, I believe we desperately need a leader who can unite us and not just pander to a small base of supporters.

"I'm a fan of The Rock. He's an amazing entertainer and the causes he champions are truly inspiring to me.

"Of course, he doesn't have the experience in government that has been typical.

"But I think we've seen voters reject the notion that inexperience disqualifies you from serving. His broad, uniting appeal is without parallel in our divided country."

It might sound a little strange, but, honestly, who thought Donald Trump was going to pull it out the bag? Not even him, I don't think, and yet here we are. So, Johnson 2020 - would he get your vote?
