Seagull Goes For A Dip In A Giant Vat Of Curry Sauce

Seagull Goes For A Dip In A Giant Vat Of Curry Sauce

Mad for Madras.

Have you ever looked at the curry you've just ordered and thought: 'God, I could bathe in that?' It's happened to me a few times but I've never gone that extra curry mile.

This seagull didn't just think about dipping into garam masala, he did it. He walked the walk and squarked the squark.

The poor fella fell into a massive vat of chicken tikka masala curry outside of a factory in Wales after it apparently lost its balance trying to gobble bits of chicken.

According to Metro, workers fished the seagull out and took him to the Vale Wildlife Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre.

The bird was then given a shower and had to be treated before he could be released back into the wild. Presumably they will also have to wait for the bird to return to its natural white colour so it doesn't look quite so much like a bad starter Pokemon.

Veterinary nurse Lucy Kells said: "The gull is doing great now. He still smells a little of curry, but he is now much whiter.

"On Monday the receptionist bought a box through and said 'this one needs urgent attention'.

"The strong curry aroma actually hit us before we opened the box. It was absolutely overwhelming and I thought 'that smells absolutely fantastic'."

Apparently the gull wasn't that bothered by it all. It was just orange, and carried a very strong smell.

Evidently the bird had to be thoroughly cleaned with washing up liquid and Lucy added that, despite the ordeal, the animal was very well behaved. So, in other words, there was no argy-bargy, just onion bhaji! (Sorry, I'll see myself out).

"Of course we don't like to laugh at animals, but because the gull was okay it was hard not to see the funny side."

The charity wildlife hospital will take care of the gull for a few more weeks or months until he can be released back into the wild. By then, the tan should have worn off.
