I'm not sure that that Evan Spiegel had this in mind when he invented Snapchat, but guys have been using it to trick their girlfriends into believing that they're having a quiet night in, when in fact they're down the pub with their mates. Got a lot of time for this, to be honest.
Social media whiz James showed the world how he pulled off this cunning act and it's pretty simple - his friends held his coat behind his head and he looked sleepily into the camera.

But what was really all about?

Now he's put it on Twitter and it's gone viral, though he's never going to be able to use that on his girlfriend again. But the reaction on the Interent has shown that it will spur a lot of other people to use that trick themselves.

A lot of men on Twitter were impressed by James' clever thinking and called him a legend.
But women called him out as untrustworthy, saying that stunts like this were why women have trust issues with men (maybe try to get a sense of humour)?
And it turns out that James isn't the only one who has pretended he was sleeping over social media. Apparently this is a bit of a thing - who knew that social media is a liar?

I'm not sure why these guys are pretending they're asleep when the sun is clearly shining and it's day. You sleep at night, usually. Get your stories straight!
In case you need science to help you, lads, going to the pub is apparently good for your health.
