It's a bit lazy, though.

It's nothing new to say that iPhones are incredibly versatile. What else can you own that reaches people across the world instantly, makes you look like a dog and assists in your sex life?

But here's something you had no idea your phone could do: measure sperm count.

Japanese inventor and researcher Yoshitomo Kobori has come up, as it were, with a specific lens that can be fitted on your phone's camera. Rubbing out a bit of spunk onto the lens while filming it can then be assessed by a lab. Think of it as a DIY sexual health clinic.

It's good news for those who have reservations about travelling to a clinic to have their business checked over.

Better yet, the lens is cheap.

"The lens is not made for a smartphone - it was made nine years ago," he said .

"I'm improving the lens and thinking about how to attach it to a smartphone and analyse sperm.

"Men are thinking that semen analyses are an embarrassment, inconvenience, disgrace and waste of time."

I like it. It sort of removes the taboo around dick pics/vids.

'Why did you just Snap me cumming onto your camera, you sick bastard?'

'Sorry Jess, making a sperm sample for analysis. Have you not heard of Yoshitomo Kobori?'

'No.'

'He's created a spunk-friendly lens.'

'Oh, Yoshitomo Kobori! Of course! Fire away.'
