Slagging off economy aeroplane food is not just an activity for those sitting comfortably in first class, it's for everyone. We all know the quality and aesthetic of mile-high grub is below par. But it's not often hilarious.
This picture of one woman's dumplings and 'root vegetable' meal on a recent business class expedition, is.
It's funny because the 'root vegetable' looks like an 11-inch cock. Bone apple tea!
The female passenger, who remains anonymous (deffo ate the thing in one fell swoop à la Scooby Doo), was on a Qantas flight from Sydney to Brisbane.
"I asked the server what it was ... and he told me that it was a root vegetable," she told news.com.au.
"I asked him to pass me my phone so I could take a photo. I never take photos of food but this was too funny to pass up.
"He blushed and was very apologetic. I don't think he had ever seen anything quite like it ... the lady next to me was cracking up."
She apparently didn't eat the phallic vegetable, but said the dumplings were 'delicious'.
When she uploaded the evidence to Facebook, the picture was met with some typically humorous responses.
"A root vegetable is one way to describe it ... I think you inadvertently just joined the mile-high club," one person wrote.
"Did you ask for a stiff drink to accompany it?" another quipped.
"Definitely a root vegetable they couldn't serve on Virgin," one comedian chuntered.
The woman remains a fan of the airline and said she plans to fly with him them next week to Los Angeles, when she hopes to get a pair of balls to accompany it.
