President Obama Is Planning A Music Festival At The White House

And Chance the Rapper might be playing...

It feels like President Barack Obama has been about to leave the White House for an eternity.

I'm not sure whether it's the fact the presidential race between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump is so ludicrous I just want it done with or whether Obama has been pissing about so much in the last year, but it does feel like it's dragging a bit.

Whether it's joking around with Prince Harry and The Queen about the Invictus Games, pumping himself up for a speech by listening to Eminem or celebrating his 55th birthday the way only he could, the man knows how to enjoy himself while he's winding down one of the most pressured jobs in the world.

And it seems one of his last acts as a resident of the White House is also going to be pretty fucking lit.

Obama is apparently going to be holding a one-day music festival at the White House called South by South Lawn.

The event is in partnership with SXSW, where he was a keynote speaker earlier this year, and will feature panel discussions, liver performances and student films.

No musical acts have been confirmed just yet but his daughter Malia is in to Chance the Rapper and Mac Miller so we imagine they might be getting a call sometime soon.

According to Complex, Chance the Rapper is a favourite of the whole Obama family and is playing in Washington DC just days after the festival is due to take place. So, you know... speculate.

The event is set to take place on October 3rd and you can find out more about it, and nominate yourself to go, here.
