Sylvester Stallone Vs Jack Whitehall: A Strange Celebrity Beef

Sylvester Stallone Vs Jack Whitehall: A Strange Celebrity Beef

How did this happen!?

In what is the most unlikely celebrity beef ever, Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominated actor Sylvester Stallone has taken aim at...Jack Whitehall.

But first, a bit of background:

Stallone had been nominated for Best Supporting Actor at this year's Oscars for his part in Creed. Following the event, Whitehall supposedly bumped into Stallone at the Governors Ball after-party in Los Angeles.

Explaining the story to The Mirror, he said:

"I walked straight into Sylvester Stallone afterwards at the Governors Ball. I had to console him about missing out on his Oscar, telling him there was always next year. Or maybe if he did Creed 2 he might get a nod, I think it reassured him. Also, because he knew I was English, I had to tell him who Mark Rylance was. I talked him through all of Mark's performances at the Globe theatre."

Whitehall is a comedian. I'm 99 percent sure he was just fucking around when he offered this quote. Sadly, the humour was lost on Stallone who took to social media not once...

...but twice:

It's not about the nuggets, it's about the lies.

Anyway, Whitehall clearly couldn't give two shits because he has reportedly told the Mail Online:

"It's sad Sly doesn't remember me. Clearly I made very little impression. The same thing happened to me with Eamonn Holmes at the TV Choice Awards."

And that, my friends, is how to deal with celebrity social media beef. Just brush it off.
