Best Man Stitches Up His Brother In Brilliant Suit Prank

Size matters.

Man, or woman, your wedding should be one of the best days of your life. For the bride, it is all about the dress, for the groom it's about looking mighty sharp in a suit.

For the best man, it's about how well you can stitch up the groom. Whether that be before the wedding or during the speech.

It's common that the brides may get a slightly smaller dress as they go on a mad crash diet, but imagine waking up on the day of your wedding to find your suit was two sizes too small.

Colm Carberry, 28 was best man for the wedding of his 32-year-old brother, Martin, in County Kildare, Ireland. He decided to switch the groom's suit for a smaller version.

"It's in my nature, pulling pranks," Colm explained to LADbible. "I thought about it just before the wedding, and asked the suit company if they'd make a suit that was smaller."

Thankfully for us, the whole thing was caught on film. Colm had set up a hidden camera in his brother's bedroom.

The film begins with the struggle to get into the tuxedo trousers.

"Colm, where are your trousers? Are they on you? Do they fit alright?" asks his brother.

Other family members join the scene, whether they are in on the joke or not is unclear.

Eventually, after a lengthy debate, Colm's brother strips off his trousers and tries on the suit.

"Fuck's sake!" Martin mutters as it appears he's stressing that the suit is a little tight.

"He was actually quite calm," added Colm. "He was laughing at how it was possible to mix the suits up. He kept saying, 'I was measured twice for it'."

When Colm enters the room and kindly points to the camera, Martyn questioned: "How long was that up there?" Is there a secret underlying code in that question for 'did you catch me doing something I may shouldn't have last night?'.

The video has been viewed over 18,000 times - meaning many of us get to delight in Colm's brother's misfortunes.

Colm later played the video footage during best man's speech.

He said: "I set the projector on my laptop, but what I didn't realise is, as I played the video, I hadn't watched it all the way thorough. So, Martin could have done anything.

"Everybody loved it. He was laughing and he's forgiven me. About 50 people turned to me at the wedding and told me that I better watch my back."

Things like this take a lot of planning and deserve a salute. It's just like this other LAD's great video as part of his best man's speech at a wedding.

Pretending he'd forgotten something, he didn't half go on an adventure to retrieve it.
