Proud Mum’s Ultrasound Of Her Unborn Baby Is Mistaken For A ‘Crisp Lasagne’

It's all a bit awkward.

Awkward silences...

They're intense, full of emotion (albeit silent) and all the while the 'no man's land' of conversation is dragged out, suspense continues to mount as to who's going to be the one to break the unspoken moment.

If you haven't yet experienced the power that can come from an awkward silence, here's your moment. Strike up a conversation with someone, preferably a friend or family member who you know pretty well. Make sure you pick a topic that has lots of potential for debate. Be engaging and once the other person has reacted with their opinion, randomly cut everything. Let the tumbleweed fly and see how long you can hold it. It's a great game!

When the shoe is on the other foot, though, being the victim of such a cruel trick can leave you wanting to dig a whole and cover it over. Such as...

  • 'Accidentally' calling bae by your ex's name.
  • When you're hungover AF and you eat your housemate's last slice of pizza in the fridge.
  • When a terrible band choose to encore when no one asked them to.
  • When you ask your 'hilarious' co-workers what would create an awkward silence.

All of the above are pretty savage, but when some random on Facebook insults your unborn child, viral blackout is going to commence.

One soon-to-be mom proudly posted a photograph of her recent ultrasound scan. As you would expect, the comments came flooding in. 'Congratulations,' 'way to go' etc. etc.

But when one guy, whose Facebook profile pic is his face Photoshopped onto a dog's body, commented, things became intense. The comment read: "That lasagne looks crisp."

Replying, the mum commented: "That's my daughter." - Ohhhhh burn (pun intended)!
